Viagra for women: is it effective?

Dubbed “Female Viagra,” it was hoped that flibanserin would provide the same effects as male 비아그라; that is to say, democratize female sexual problems and give very good results on female sexuality.

Unfortunately, the results were very disappointing.

Flibanserin belongs to the globally known class of antidepressants.
“Female 비아그라”: dosage and side effects

This treatment is to be taken every day and has several annoying side effects, such as nausea, fatigue, and bleeding outside of menstruation...

Viagra is particularly effective for 70% of men, while flibanserin is barely effective in one out of two women; a placebo would have about the same effect.

Flibanserin is marketed in the United States under the name of Addyi but there is little chance that this molecule will arrive in Europe, in particular because of its mixed results.

Viagra for women: is there another molecule?

Recently, another molecule was approved in the United States for the treatment of female libido; it is bremelanotide .

The disadvantage of this molecule is that it also has side effects for relative effectiveness; but above all, that it must be administered by injection under the skin of the belly, which can harm the sexual excitement that it is supposed to cause.

Female 비아그라: what to remember

These two molecules are marketed only in the United States, given their inconclusive results.

For the moment, in France and Europe, treatments for female libido are based on psychological and behavioral advice, but also on phytotherapy , mixtures of plants that are safe and beneficial for the libido.

In the meantime, we can only hope that research, over the next few years, will progress, turning a little more towards women, and finding effective libido treatments for women who need them.
